Tips for Freezing Raspberries and Strawberries

Strawberries

I do not wash the strawberries, but do remove the tops. Now cut the berries up into bite size pieces, put into a freezer bag-leaving the air in-and then put them into the freezer. After the berries are frozen, leave them in the bag and scrunch them in your hand to break them into individual berries.

Raspberries

Do Not Wash (with washing, they will fall apart and lose half of their flavour).

Put one pint or so of DRY berries into a medium freezer bag, leaving the air in the bag. Freeze. Beries will scrunch into single berries when frozen.
